School Tools
Classroom Central provides free school supplies and other
materials to teachers and students in low-income schools.
Over 65,000 students in Mecklenburg County come to school
each year without the basic supplies. CIG participated in
the 10th annual School Tools campaign collecting school
supplies during the month of August 2006. We collected 111
pounds of school supplies and $95 in monetary contributions.

Our employees raised funds to benefit the victims and their
families that have suffered loss due to the Tsunami that
hit on December 26, 2004.

Charlotte Coliseum for the evacuees that were displaced to
Charlotte.
Operation Edith (Exit Drill In The Home)
Tragically, children age five and under are twice as likely
to die in fires as are older children and adults. Many die
because they instinctively try to hide from smoke and flames
in closets and under beds. In conjunction with the Independant
Insurance Agents of North Carolina, CIG agents are distributing
materials to local schools and daycares for children to educate
them on exiting the home safely in case of a fire.
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer
A team of employees raises money and participates in a three

are used to fund research and provide preventative care.
Operation Christmas Child
Employees particpate in purchasing Christmas items and
packing a shoe box to be sent to children all over the world
that otherwise would not know the joys of Christmas.
Some employees also donate time at the shipping centers
nspecting and sorting the shoe boxes before they are shipped.
